Hi all!
It has been forever and a day since I did a little update blog. Life has been so busy lately.
- I’m getting married!! I know right? I’m not going to lie, I never thought in a million years I would ever be married. But I met my absolute soul mate and completely fell in love. Wedding date is April 2023! 10 weeks away! We are so excited!
- I have a new job! I am now an assistant lecturer at a university whoooop! I am beyond chuffed with this! I started this role in December 2022 and I couldn’t be happier honestly. It’s everything I ever imagined and more. I never in a million years thought I would be here today. I do have a small fear of public speaking BUT I am building my confidence with this, and pushing myself out of my comfort zones to do this. So if you see my face around your university… that is why.
- I have a new book coming out! Some of you that have been following me and my updates will have seen I have been writing a book. This was something I started as a student nurse in my second year. This book is a survival guide to nursing, from start to finish. It has all of the tips and advice from applying to university for nursing, to placements, assignments help, exam / revision help, all the way through university until applying for your NMC PIN and surviving your transition to newly qualified nurse status. With extra bonus chapters for: LGBTQ+, mental health and failures, ethnic minorities, autism and epilepsy, coping with university as a mother and with different disabilities. It has case studies from a variety of people including my close friends and love. It also have my journey and stories along the way. It’s everything you need as a student nurse and much more 🙂
